Link Abuse Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
d-vc short links (d-vc.in/...) are a paid-plan feature for sharing real pages. This policy explains what is not allowed, how we screen links, and how to report abuse. It is part of our Terms & Conditions.
What is not allowed
- Phishing, fake login or payment pages, or impersonating any person, brand or service.
- Malware, viruses, or pages that download harmful software.
- Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or misleading and illegal content.
- Hiding the destination by chaining another shortener (bit.ly, tinyurl and similar) or using IP-logging services.
- Links to d-vc.in itself (self-loops).
How we screen links
- Identity gate: before creating their first short link, every customer gives their real name, phone number and link purpose, and accepts this policy. We keep this record with a timestamp and IP address.
- Destination checks: every new link is checked against a blocklist of known-bad domains and redirect-chain shorteners at creation time.
- Rate limits: an account can create at most 10 new short links per hour, and plans limit the total number of links.
- Controls: links can expire, owners can delete them, and our team can disable any link instantly. Accounts that break this policy are banned, which takes all of their links and cards offline.
- Logging: every click is logged with time, referrer and device details for abuse investigation. We do not store full visitor IP addresses; a one-way hash is used for unique-visitor counts.
Use our report form or email [email protected] with the link and what is wrong. We review every report and disable links that break this policy, normally within 24 hours.
Enforcement
Links that break this policy are disabled, with or without notice. Serious or repeated abuse leads to a permanent account ban. See our Privacy Policy for how identity and usage records are handled.
